Fun Facts About Utah

 

We all love ourselves some jiggly Jell-O! In fact, Utah has the highest Jell-O consumption per capita in the United States! Utah even has its own week dedicated to Jell-O in the second week of February.

Utah’s state insect is the honeybee. Bees are very important to Utah’s agricultural industry. In 1983 bees were officially named the state insect. Beehives are also used to represent the hard work and perseverance shown by the Latter-day Saint pioneers. Isn’t that sweet!

Utah is famous for its powdered sugar snow! People around the world come to ski and snowboard down Utah’s white mountains. In 2002, Utah hosted the winter olympics. This was the first time the United States hosted the winter olympics since 1980!

 

Us Utahns are smart cookies! Utah has the highest literacy rate in the states! Education is highly valued here and the results pay off when looking at education-related metrics.

Utah has five beautifully unique national parks: Bryce Canyon, Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Zion. These are known as the Mighty 5 and they’re mighty fun to visit!

 

You’re not truly Utahn unless 90 percent of your bloodstream is made up of diet coke. This drink is extremely popular here, and if you’re really feeling Utah, you can try a dirty soda made with diet coke heavy cream, coconut syrup, and lime.

Utah is becoming more and more popular as we speak! As of 2021, Utah’s population is estimated to be around 3.3 million. It is one of the fastest growing states for obvious reasons! Our economy is thriving and we value the safety and comfort of individuals. No wonder people are moving here!
